I’m excited to share with you one blogging tool that has helped me grow my website traffic. This tool helps me save time as a busy mom blogger and stay consistent with social media marketing.

how to increase traffic to your website.jpg

Initially when I started blogging, I was doing it simply out of my love for writing. I enjoyed journaling my crazy days of mom life & it helped me get finger to computer screen the crazy emotions of a time in our lives that will soon be forgotten. I also enjoy taking candid pictures of these blissful days of motherhood.

I realized that I wanted ‘more’ out of my blogging journey when I started listening to Christy’s Wright’s podcast about women & passion & fulfilling the purpose God has for them. I had minored in business at Vanguard University & I guess you can say I’ve always been an entrepreneur at heart.

Here I am nearly 9 months later with a graphic tee company & an entirely new outlook on blogging. My goal is to get eyes on my graphic tees, by getting traffic to my website. This is important to me because I want others to feel encouraged & empowered when wearing the t-shirts but also because a portion of the proceeds from the t-shirts goes towards a cause. It’s a benevolence project that I started last Christmas & it’s been life changing!

Pinterest has been driving the majority of traffic to my website. I started reading a ton of helpful articles & asking questions to other bloggers about Pinterest strategies that worked & it’s been life changing! It’s given me the boost of confidence I needed heading into the New Year.

I haven’t bought a course on pinning strategies yet so trial & error will have to do for now. However, I’m excited to share with you one tool that has helped me grow my traffic on both Pinterest & Instagram, without having to do a ton of heavy lifting.

It’s TAILWIND! which is an automated pinning scheduler. If you sign up using my link, you’ll get a $15 credit towards your first month (see site for full details). They also have a trial offer, which is how I got started. When I signed up for the trial offer, I immediately had new eyes on my blog & realized how powerful Pinterest could be for my business.

Inasmuch as I think growth is important, my goal is to share my real life feats & failures in hopes of encouraging someone else who may be going through similar circumstances. In order to do this I needed I needed a jumpstart & this Pinterest scheduling tool has given me this opportunity.

It’s a wealth of help & knowledge in my mom blogging journey, to say the least. When I’m not pinning, I’m not getting traffic to my blog, so pinning all day is something I don’t have the time for & Tailwind does it all for me. Another great feature of Tailwind is the ability to see what content is doing well & gives me the ability to re-pin the popular content to Pinterest.

I currently have all of my pins scheduled for today, along with some of my instagram posts. You can see from the image above I currently have 502 pins scheduled.

Tailwind is a pinning scheduler that also allows me to schedule my Instagram posts with their ‘pin from Instagram’ option. It gives me insights into which one of my Instagram posts did well & lets me publish straight to Pinterest. Pinning from Instagram to Pinterest, is another way to get eyes on my Instagram account, which in turn, helps me to get eyes on my tees!

I’ve heard that Instagram is starting to move towards a Facebook approach & wants their business accounts to pay for sponsored posts. I don’t have a marketing budget yet. In my logic, pinning my Instagram posts, is another way to get more eyes on my Instagram posts (hopefully).

In 2019, if you’re looking to get a jumpstart on your business, I highly suggest trying Tailwind out. I often ask myself, "what would be a good way to get new eyes on my t-shirts, etc” & I think the answer is to try new things. Speaking of trying new things, I’m starting a podcast in January, 2019 & I hope you’ll sign up to my newsletter! The podcast will focus on mom life, grace & growth! I’m also going to work on drinking more water in 2019, ha! What’s one thing you’re excited for in the New Year? Please share in the comments below!

Here’s to trying new things in 2019 & I hope you’ll join me!
